These keywords must and should be common words used in your article. You can use them in following ways:
Keywords used in post and the page titles?
Keywords used in URL of the page ?
Keywords used in outbound links ?
Keywords used in the bold tags?
Keywords used in heading tags? 
 h1,h2, h3, h4 tags are also important,they will have good impact.Even they are some pages which had decent rank in search engines without using heading tags.

Most of the SEO experts says that you should provide some of the Site Map which means every page on your site is just a link. Bloggers should make sure that your category pages are in your sidebars. Also make sure that  every page links back to your main page.If you are writing about on a topic that you have previously written consider that link in your post. 
5. Regularly Update : 
The more you update on your blog the more often Search Engines will make their crawlers to reach your site to index it.This means your new post should appear in the index within days or hours but not weeks.
6. Outbound Links: 
There may be a debate over how search engines treat outbound links from your blog.  Outbound links will help your site’s ranking in search engines.These links may index you to sites outside.Your  blog doesn't  mean that you can't end sending traffic away from your blog. Make sure that you  always try to link to reputable sites to your own page.Don't forget that too many outbound will have great impact on your blog.
7. Select your best domain name :
 There are many factors to keep in mind while selecting a domain name.Firstly if possible you have to include the  keyword in it. Secondly you have to do little research if someone has already used the domain. If it is a quality site with inbound links you will have some benefits but if it was a not a quality it will be considered as spam site even you may be banned from Google for a long time.
8.  For a Lengthy Period  Register your Domain :  
Google will indicate at your domain’s length registration in ranking it.This is done because many spam sites will have short registrations and a longer ones shows that you are developing a site with in it for the long time.
9.Post should have One topic  :  
The more quality theme you choose for your page the better rank will be given by the google. Sometimes you may find  writing long posts that end up with covering a large number of topics.Better to break up your article into smaller pieces so that it may rank well by google.
10. Write Limited length posts : 
There is a debate going around the Search Engine Optimization communities the pages that have too short can get indexed with high rankings.Keep the posts at least 250 words.Don’t make it too long because if you do so you will face it difficult to keep your keyword density and it can end up with a less focused page.
11. Eradicate Duplicate content : 
Google gives warning to web masters in its guidelines for having the same content on different pages. This goes for both multiple pages that you own but also pages that others own. This is because of spammers is often uses many times the same content on many pages and copy the content from other sites..My advice is to be very careful in how many places your content will appears.

Search Engines may check your site as more content you have. if you have more pages that are better found in Search Engines.Whatever it may be just keep random junk content, but be careful about this.

Every search engine has a different ways of knowing about your site.Submit  URL to be indexed by google. Note that this may takes much time and it is more impact way to get linked  by a blog already indexed by the search engine.
